Sutton LGBTQ+ Forum are proud to announce we had our very first Rainbow Crossing installed on June 24th.
The forum has been campaigning for the past year in a hope that Sutton would follow other boroughs (Lambeth,Hackney, Lewisham,Merton and Wandsworth) and install a crossing to show its support for the LGBTQ Community.

Cllr Jake Short, a regular follower and supporter of the forum, listened and with the help of Cllrs Manuel Abellan and Ruth Domby it was agreeded and installed ready for Pride 2020.
We feel that, during this terrible time of isolation and social distancing, the time is right for this and that having a rainbow crossing will show visitors to Sutton that we are signalling an inclusive environment for LGBTQ+ communities and showing our true colours as an open, diverse and accepting borough with Pride in our hearts.
